The ragaie of Néoules is an “active” cavity, that is to say with the presence of an underground river…This activity of spelunking is located 1 hour and a half from the Verdon and Lake of Sainte Croix.
Doing spelunking in the Ragaie de Néoule is the opportunity to refresh in hot temperature while discovering a very special universe under earth. For those who can read it, the shapes of the limestone are an open book of geology.
Its exploration allows you to discover multiple galleries worked by the force of the water.
Throughout the progression, you will encounter small lakes formed by calcite dams, as well as large rooms of various shapes.
This pretty cavity is ideal for discovering this mysterious and magical world. Indeed the progression does not require the use of alpine techniques (ropes), however, the exploration of this cavity remains quite sporty due to the low height of the gallery in certain passages and the total length of the progression. It is one of the best spelunking for beginners between Verdon and Marseille.
